$20 Amazon purchase. It will only be good for small stuff. I'll throw some Neosporin, bandages, ace wrap, etc in there. It did have a pretty cool survival spork :D

Schnazzy. I remember seeing those sporks all over the uniform shops on base. Usually CRKT branded and overpriced for what it is, too.

Maybe I'll take a pic of my first aid kit after work, too...

Yeah I'm not willing to take a pay cut for that. Again a ton of departments are like that. They give me my duty ammo and my OC Spray. They covered the cost of my gun holster. They pay for my uniforms up to $300/year. You say their budget should cover all or great etc.... That either means employees take a pay cut or property taxes go up. I can't personally afford either of those too happen.
Maybe.... Or maybe I should start a go fund me lol

I'm just saying they should provide you guys with the required equipment and make their budget work. We as citizens have to make ours work. I don't believe for one second that there isn't wasted money in every taxpayer funded program. The government needs to balance their check book and stop getting into the citizen's. We already pay for A LOT of unnecessary shit.

The only time I have ever used one was when a buddy fell at the boat ramp when kayaking  I'm surprised I even had one in the truck.

This whole deal was strange. It's labeled as a first-aid kit, but has survival stuff in it too. It has 2 bandages, survival blanket, spork, wire saw, survival bracelet and trauma shears. I think maybe it's like the hotdogs of the plant and they just threw some shit together   I'll definitely reorganize it tonight :D

Well find someone to find out where they are wasting money.... Because my department is by far not the only one who requires their people to purchase certain things on their own dime. Trust me all of us who pay for shit would love the fact we don't have to pay for it. Though I think I would still but my own gun, because I can do certain things to my weapon that people who have theirs issued usually can't and I can take it with me when I leave the department.

Yeah we each have one in the trucks, everyone in the house has an emergency go bag and each one has a first aid kit in it (that's 4 bags), plus a first aid kit in the dogs go bag too... Human and dog mix

I'm sure most depts. have to buy their own stuff. I'm just saying the gubment takes enough in taxes, they shouldn't have to. Stop lining the higher-ups pockets and use the money like it's suppose to be used.

I'll give you an example. One of the county Sherriff's was using the CCW fees to pay for his beach house. The CCW fees can be anywhere from $5-$20. It's set by each county Sherriff and the money can be used as they see fit. That motherfucker should be in jail for that shit. He could have used that money to equip his employees with the right stuff.
