Actually been looking at a “fun car” for spring time and didn’t realize how cheap the early Cooper S’s have become. There was an 02 on FB marketplace for only like $900.

The Venza sucks because the base LE came stock with 19s. 4 Michelin’s were right around $1200 installed after my wife hit a brake pad in the road and it was lodged between the tire and rim. Might be cheaper in the long run to get some xle/limited 20s off eBay or CL for availability of tires.

She's got an '03 Honda Pilot so it's got 4wd but she's got summer tires on it from living in Cali and they're wearing out. Figured I'd get her some all-terrains/all-seasons.. I have Dynapro AT-Ms on the truck so I'll probably get something similar from Discount Tire, since they do free rotation, air, etc.

 

It's because the transmissions are CVT types. They lose the top gears. It's like they are stuck in 2nd. They are not repairable.
