Guys, I had to get up and tear off some record sheets. It was horrible. I'm so glad I'm back.

 

I'm sure it was a tough job. But somebody had to do it

 

We put heaters (cold busters) on the aircraft and it warms up the hole bird inside to keep the water system from freezing and the avionics from giving faults in the morning,we fire up the APU 2h before departure and crank the heat up,when the crew shows up its ready to go.I get 3 or 4 overnighters(RON) any given nights,the aircrafts stay on the departing gates until the morning flights.We do a daily checks on all of them+ snags and wheels and brake on occasions.
For the engines we install inlet covers and plugs to keep snow and frost from the intakes and exhaust.

We have polar vortex coming in and out here in Montreal in Jan / March, it last 2-3 days at a time and it`s face biting cold, when its like that you have to wait until the temp needle start to move...

Otherwise 2/3 min max

 

Wowza. Well, it was like 30 degrees the other morning, and that's the lowest it's been in a while, I had to crank the heater up a whole nother notch. So yea...good ole California hehe

Got to do a little work ... Kadena sent me an advance of their load plan for a quick turn C5 Monday. Added my cargo to it and put the package together. That burned up 45 mins.

Boring night here.....plus rain & 34 degrees. Just a tad colder & Melissa could've had snow tonight.

 

Same here ..slow tonight ..i know i was looking at the temp tonight when i got ready to leave for work..i am so over these cold temps, how many days till spring???

 

Tonight is a heat wave compared to the last couple........can't wait for summer!!

 

Rode in tonight! It's been around 50 the last few mornings, I can deal with that. Can't deal with 30 lol. Apparently whoever installed my seat cowl (previous owner) slumped on the bolts...almost lost about $150 worth of gear when the seat cowl tore through the nuts holding it down by a hair, and started hitting me in the back, luckily I got a quick death grip on it and my bag of goodies it was holding and managed to pull over and not lose anything.

After finishing up random crap here, I pulled it over to me, opened our desk full of random shit, found bolts and nuts and a washer (which it didn't have to start) easily twice the size of the crappy ones it had, and put it all back together all nice and Purty! now the whole plastic mounts will have to snap if it wants to break off lol.
