I been on nights for around 10 or 11 months now and I always forget this thread exists. I should keep up better.

On most weeks i spend 2 nights sitting in the office (security dispatch) and 3 driving/walking (patrol). This week because of the holidays I've been in the office 4 nights and doing 2 patrol. for holiday pay plus OT

 

The hospital fucks us. If/when we're in OT(time and a half) on a holiday...…...we only get holiday pay(time and a half). I think they should pay us double time if/when that happens.

 

There’s a rare OT opportunity in the morning but you couldn’t pay me enough to deal with those people; especially when they’re going to be at minimum.

 

They'd have to pay me triple time to deal with dayshift

 

We’re paid on a 37.5 hour week (work 40) but the first 2.5 would be at straight time.
Especially shitty when we’re getting an ice/rain/sleet storm at the moment.

 

They should. I was on OT and holiday for Thanksgiving and was told by my boss and the lead LT. (I'm also an LT.) that the company didn't do 2x bit I got 2x so I was happy. My last gig gave 2.5x in that scenario
