Hey man ... nice break for a change I suppose. Curious, this oil price stuff putting a pinch on ya'll there? Fucking OPEC bastards ... they're taking losses to try and shut us down ... pisses me off.

And for anyone viewing this from the outside ... yeah I get the good gas price piece, but I see the big picture for what it is. And I don't like it. :frusty:

Yea, I happy with nights though cause I'm finally working in Colorado. Being able to go home ever morning is fantastic compared to ND.

yea ND is in a scramble with the oil prices, a lot of layoffs are coming up soon as a lot of rigs are being laid down.

luckily some of the bigger companies are sayin fuckit and just drilling through the prices to build up their reserves then just sell it at a later date when they can make more money.

    I agree! 100%
Why do we have to buy their oil? Here in the great lakes region we get most of our oil from Canada anyway. If we pay a little more now we'll save huge in the long run by keeping them in business and keeping people employed. Apparently Canada needs $100 per barrel to break even.

Oh, didn't realize you were back in CO, good for you. Quality of life is important, you'll realize that more and more as you get older. :anonymous:

Glad to read the big boys are gonna stick it out and call OPEC's (or whatever is the right term for those bastids) bluff. We need to get off that sandy teat.

Too bad the workers are gonna feel the pain of it. :(
Hey Kirk, you'll always be one of us.

yea, just in the big 3 service companies(schlumberger, baker, halliburton) they are going to lay off 25k people this first go around of cuts in the coming weeks. North Dakota is going to look like a ghost town come May with all of the roughnecks being laid off as well. Its crazy when you start thinking about all the jobs that are tied into the oil industry.

I heard things on the north slope are still moving along though, so thats at least decent news for now up there

    Lol!

When I first started riding I remember several trips where me and a friend had to get off our bikes and jog in place on the side of the road in full cold weather gear to warm up and prevent frostbite.

I'm getting soft in my old™ age.

Hiya Melissa. How are you tonight?

 Sounds like a good weekend.

When I left Thursday morning, there were 3 missions forecast for Friday. Come back in and two have been recut for Saturday; and there are three of us here tonight. So I have one guy doing inventory, one guy planning the one remaining mission for tomorrow. That leaves me with my cup of coffee and TW.
