I think I got sold the wrong springs.

This is so fucked up! Truck has been on the hoist for close to 2 weeks.

Look at the shape of the original top of the springs and look at the replacements.

The top hat is not supposed to be crooked.

    So much hate!

    Same, same.

Did my Italian lesson for the day 8 hours early. 400 days in a row. Never thought I'd go this long.

    Duolingo.

I do them anywhere I'm near a PC. I can use my phone, but I find the PC easier to help comprehend.

    I knew nothing before hand.
Basically just threw a dart and landed on Italian.

I can't speak it for shit, but i can understand news cast that are slowed down. I really don't care to be completely fluent. Just enough to know when I'm being fed a line of horse shit in Italian.

Questi occhiali da sole sono troppo grandi.

I was just asked to translate this line. I knew enough that "occhiali" are eyeglasses and "da sole" had to do with the sun and "grandi" is for large or big. I knew they were asking something about big sunglasses.

I confused the word "questi". I forgot that it means "these". I wrote they were looking for big sunglasses. Fail.

I don't know if this gives you an idea on where I am for doing 15 minutes a day for the last year and change.

    Regardless, I'm having fun.

    No plans to visit.

I just want to be able to understand people from Italy when they speak. I've noticed lots of different languages at the airports.

Maybe its just that I notice the pretty Italian donne the most. Amirite?

Just curious how Duolingo has been at helping you. I've heard mixed things. Thought about trying to use it regularly to brush up on my Spanish.

I dunno? I have nothing to compare it to.

It's like giving myself a Roofie. I might get lucky, but I'd never know.

Lmao. You answered my curiosity with your other post. I took Spanish classes all the way through high school so I was fairly decent at it until the Army jammed a different language in my head. Now I can mostly get the gist of Spanish but I can't produce it for shit. Been thinking about brushing up since it's way more useful/common than the language the Army gave me. Been wondering if Duolingo would be worth it or if I should p*rate Rosetta Stone.
