Doing good here too, been pretty quiet here at work so far. Do you think we are going to get any snow tonight?

 

Idk. Maybe up north towards the line. I thought it was pretty warm outside considering what its been like the past week. I think they were only calling for .05.

 

yeah I was thinking the same thing, it doesn't feel that cold outside.

 

Did you get out and about during the ice storm? I didn't have any trouble at all with my prerunner that nite.

 

Actually yes, I had to work that night so I came in at 7p when it really started getting bad up here and my truck did good on the roads at that time and actually I didn't have to worry about driving back home the next day because I worked 18 hrs straight because of the weather and call offs, so by the time I made it home 2 days later the roads were clear.

 

Wow, 18 hrs? Do you have someplace to lay down and get some rest at work?
I started out about 9pm that nite. Drove thru the addition a few times to make sure I could get up the 2 hills we have. They are pretty steep. Had no problem getting up or down those and I new once I got out to 123 that it would be pretty gravy going thru town and onto 385.
Made it down to 123 and got a text the plant was closed which is very rare. This place never closes.
Played for a little bit and went back to the house.

 

yep 18 hrs the legal max you are allowed in nursing to work straight lol
yes they set up air mattresses for people to sleep in conference rooms and really any empty rooms they have available. they are pretty good about making sure everyone who comes to work is comfortable, it always looks like they go to publix and buy out the store for food and junk food for people to have lol

oh and Rich just walked outside and its snowing big flakes here in gville, lightly coming down at the moment.

 

I thought so too but it seems the bosses think my 15 yrs of experience is needed on night shift, so here I am to stay it seem, and good morning

 

Thank you, but really its ok I don't mind night shift and I guess after 7 yrs on nights I think I have been reprogrammed to thinking sleeping during the day to actually be the normal lol

 

I'd rather be night shift plumber. Would be a lot quieter.

 

Guess I spoke to soon. It's snowing here. And some guy said 6-8 inches over nite and ice in sat.
I thought I saw .5 inches overnite?

 

I saw they were saying 1 to 2 inches in most areas tonight but wed. they are saying we might have the potential for a big storm to hit, I think they are calling for 4 to 6 inches if not more.

 

Yea. By friday or sat. Guy trying to tell me were getting that tonight.
