    Tough question.

What is the back space on the wheels?

    Its always trial and error.

Welders don't want to deal with that head ache. Bring them something to weld and not have to waste a bunch of time making things work and you will get a great deal.

When I deal with this, I don't weld on the perches to the spring. The U clamps hold them in place on the axle just fine.

I use a 2 piece axle with a sleeve. This way the whole axle width is adjustable.

You can do all the custom fitting yourself, then take it to your favorite fab shop to weld the perches and the axle width solid. You will make your welder very happy.

Edit: Perches to the axle, not spring.

I ordered a 65" WMS axle which is the same as the Tacoma. The owner is leaving the perches lose so I can have them welded here. I'm using the same wheel/tire, so I know the axle width will work. The frame will use the same suspension and measurements as my truck. So the only guess work will be the spring perch width.

Gate is up and rolling easily.

My pics haven't uploaded from my phone to the cloud yet. Phone is dead and on the charger.

    As in remote open/close?

It's on the horizon. Presently it opens and closes so easy, I don't think I need to hurry.

    Crappy pic.

Still need to take down the last half of the old gate.

Regardless, it rolls quite easy and smooth.IMG_20200526_180623.jpg

    Yep.

Will screw the fence board laterals to the gate tabs. The fence boards will get nailed to the laterals.
