    The deer flies are uber terrible here this year. My wife and I hit the rail trail for a leisure bike ride. It turned into a sprint to the next turnaround. Back to the truck we went hauling ass. Didn't even put the bikes on the rack, thru 'em in the bed and bolted!

    It started getting hot as hell around 1130 and I was like hell with this. Still had to go by the welcome center and dump the camper before we went home so we packed up and left. Got home around 1 and then jumped on the radio at the house for a bit to try and log a few more contacts.

    I heard someone earlier and was about to contact them in MI but the signal died out. Got into 2 in Texas.

    Last night was awesome on 6m (50 MHz). We were trying to get one in Alberta but of course there was a pileup as soon as he said his location. Everyone wanted to get a Canada contact. I believe we did get into MI last night though and Minnesota. I remember a OK also.
