Workin from home tonight. Office is going back to “normal” On 9/6... they’re installing plexi around the cubicles so we’ll all be in little fish tank Petri dishes.
HVAC co coming first thing in the AM to give a quote on replacing the boiler/water heater. First two were about $4K apart.

 

At least you can get some normalcy being back in the office.

 

The two extra hours a day of not driving in/out of the office is pretty nice tho...

 

Yeah. I'm only 15 miles from work

 

I’m only 3 towns over (bout 22mi) but back roads it’s about 42 minutes +/-. longer when school is in session and I have busses to deal with. At the peak of lockdown, I’d go the longer way (25mi) get on the highway and be there in under 30.

 

It takes me about 30 minutes with stopping to get drinks and supper.

 

about 20 mi to work for me.

 

I use to work with a girl that would drive 2hrs each way. There's no way I could do that and work a 12hr shift.

 

A few people do the here. No way I could.

 

I'd fall asleep on the way home

 

Most people in our office are an hour or so out. Some are 1.5, but they’re into 6 figures so...

 

That might make it easier

 

Sometime I think I do that anyways lol

 

there are many times that the autopilot kicks on and I’m in the garage before I realize

 

My manager use to pull over in a church parking lot and catch a nap. He doesn't even live 30 minutes away
