It was busy first half of shift but now it has slowed down,thank goodness, it was crazy earlier. How have you been doing?

 

That's good! I have been doing great. I have been working ...redoing my front yard....playing on the jet skis...did some turkey hunting...been to Florida....traded my truck....Living and loving life!!

 

Whoa back up lol traded your truck?.....

Yeah about 3 weeks ago. On the trip to FL the tacoma did awesome on 11.5 hour ride even launched the jet ski from the beach with it. It was just me and the wife so we put our luggage in the back seat but it was a little cramped for room. Got to thinking if we took our son with us it would have been really tight on space. I didn't have a bed cover or camper shell. So I decided I needed more room and got this.

Nothing major until around the end of August, we haven't decided yet exactly where we want to go, we just know we are taking a week to go somewhere lol got a few 3 day weekend camping trips planned for summer to test out the new camper. What part of FL did you visit?

 

Sounds like fun! We are going back to the Clearwater area. We loved the area and the water. We can pack food and drinks on the ski and find our own little white sand beach and spend the day. There were dolphins everywhere and everyone we met seemed really nice and the the best part it the money we save versus going to the beaches in NC.

 

What area do you like to camp?

 

Sounds like definitely a good time and vacation spot. I told my hubby I wouldn't mind going and doing some deep sea fishing, always wanted to do that, I think that would be fun.

 

You should go! I love to be out on the big water.

 

New camper ... new truck

Busy first 3 hrs of shift, went out with our Ramp people to help download a 747 and a MD11. All the fighter folks are deploying up to play on the ranges up here (Red Flag Alaska).

MD11 was one of Joe D's FEDEX birds(N621FE); haven't seen Joe around here much lately, but if you stumble across this post Joe, I thought about you when we pulled up to the bird.

Should be quiet for the rest of the shift here. Hope all are well.

 

We just got back from cherokee NC and went up a couple of days to pigeon forge to try the camper out.

 

Thanks!!! Been quiet here so far. Seen on the news that Alaska was in a heat wave 90 degree temps?

 

Been years sine I have been up that way. Might plan a trip up there this fall when the trees are colorful.

Probably in the interior (Fairbanks), didn't catch news today, but saw 76°F on my backyard thermometer in Palmer. Wouldn't be surprised if we have a hot Summer after this warm Winter. Definitely some kind of weather/jet streams changes happening IMHO

 

Yeah it was really nice weather up there for us this past week, not too hot during the day and it was in the 50's at night, great camping weather.

 

It shouldn't be too difficult to talk him into a fishing trip, I hope.
