I thought I was the only person that took the street side, had to explain that to a girl this past summer about it was safer for her to be on the building side.

 

I never grasped the concept of it being safer....cause if a car got to that point.....you're both gonna be up shit creek. I just learned it from my dad.

 

That’s how I knew mine was the one, met her while owning a TJ, no power anything. First date after dinner I got her door for her (as I still do to this day 11 years later) and she reached over and unlocked mine.

 

It didn't originate from it being safer. It had to do with when sewage and shit ran through streets and people dumped chamber pots out windows. The person closer to the building was less likely to get literal shit dumped/splashed on them.

 

Yea, but not when I was dating. It honestly saved me from devotion myself to someone who turned out totally wrong and steered me to an awesome wife and mother to my kids just with the simple test from a movie.
