Checking in with a serious question that I know only night shifters can answer.

What do you eat when you get home?

I usually head for bed within 60 minutes of getting home. Most times I'm not hungry before I head to bed. Unfortunately I usually wake up within 2 hours extremely hungry. Thus I'm ashamed that I just eat to fill my stomach. I can be soup, sandwich, chips, crackers, but never fruit. For some reason the sugar in the fruit will keep me awake.

Now I go back to bed with a full stomach and no way to burn off those calories.

    Tell me your secrets.

    As usual, thanks in advance.

    Kirk

I usually go to breakfast with my co-workers. At home I will have cereal or left overs. I get home around 4 am so I try not to wake up everyone. I hate going straight to bed cause I loose my " Me " time. I try to sleep until it is time to go to work.

I often go into the garage and work on projects. I have a detached garage , but still try to be quiet. I am currently sorting Mardi Gras Beads and building two air cooled VW engines ,for the Shriners.

Usually (95%) go straight to bed, and have no problems with hunger, but I've always been good with fasting. I also take a multi vitamin in the morning. Wife keeps the bedroom like a refrigerator, I find the warm spot she left me and hibernate:laughing:

I do pretty much similar. Only difference is my side of the bed better be cool (by the time I get home).

The last time we done a turnaround last year, our union went out on strike...... Thank God we don't have to sweat that for another 3 years....
