Why don't employers post the salary in the job listing??
Such a waste of everyone's time if I have to call them and go through the process only to find out the pay is shit.

Win-win. Work on fab skillz and then have a sick trike to play with after.

the one good thing about public jobs, always pretty cut and dry. There’s a chart so I know exactly what I’ll make for the next 10 steps; then contractual raises and cost of living increases...if we ever get them.

What pisses me off is when they leave a message on your phone all hot ‘n bothered about this “exciting opportunity” which turns out to be a 3 month term. Yeah, right. I’m gonna leave a full time position with benefits to get punted after 3 months with none. Quit wasting my time already.

Yeah, I tried going for a federal job a year or so ago, shit was thorough. Ended up getting passed on though. Would've been a dream job.
Yeah, I get those too. Or they find me on Indeed/LinkedIn and think I'm a perfect fit for this job... in Virginia. Obviously didn't read my profile where it says I'm not open to relocating.
Or when I search for a job in CO and find jobs listed with "Openings in CO, VA, DC, TX" but they're only hiring for TX and VA. Get that shit out of my search then, fucking waste of time.

I mean, I get why they don't post the pay in the listing (so you can low-ball yourself) but I think it's shitty.

I interviewed with the feds fresh outta college. flew down to dc and back on the same day. Didn’t get the job because my sister didn’t want me working in the same office as her...

We live in our forever home now, only chance I’m moving is if one of my boys buys it and we get a beach or mountain house.

The job that I applied for doesn't open often. Most people get into it and stay there til they retire/die. I don't think I'm even qualified for it now anyway. I've been out of that field too long. Plenty of opportunities in DC for me but I don't want to be anywhere near DC...

The only place we'd want to move is into a house here but it's so damn expensive and getting busy, we've played with the idea of going back to MI but finding work there would be interesting.

I have an aquarium that I’ve been in the process of a redo and going a little different direction this time. I think it’s coming out nice

Most of that number is 50 neons they school and are small so not a big space taker. Out of the 95 fish I’m sure a couple won’t make it. I got shrimp too they’re pretty cool.
