I don't think I've ever had anything 5.11.. I hear they make decent kilts, though.

I think that might actually be what they call it lol

Say what you will but kilts are comfy as hell.
I own one kilt that my wife brought back from Scotland. It's not a crazy expensive, fancy-ass one or anything but damn, that breeze.
Only downside to the one she got is it's more traditional so it doesn't have pockets like a lot of these more modern ones out there.

I'm gonna preface this with "there aren't any pictures so don't ask." That being said, I worked for a year and a half as a delivery driver for an auto parts store. The dress code said I couldn't wear shorts, only black long pants. And they couldn't be jeans. So during the summer time when it was nut sweating hot, I was indeed rocking a black tactikilt.

Heck yeah, tool pouches, hidden holster, knife sheaths, lots of options. Mine was basic but man was it a life saver.

Honestly been thinking of getting another kilt with pockets.

I wear the one my wife got me around the house but it's not practical to wear out because it's lack of pockets.. I'd have to wear a fanny pack with it
(I wonder what my work's policy is for kilts...)

When my old work questioned it I just said it was part of my irish heritage. They didn't bother pushing the issue besides saying I better not be commando under it.

Good point. Fairly certain they can't wear skirts so I don't think a kilt would fly. lol

On a totally unrelated note. Ever missed your gear shifter in the dark and tried shifting your water bottle instead? Did that last night in the way home.

My only complaint about rowing gears on this five speed, is having to go rummaging in the glove box for fifth gear.

No but every time I drive my wife's car my left foot forgets there isn't a clutch pedal and I wave my right hand around the center console looking for the shifter.

Had an issue when I first got this truck though. Went from 6spd to 5spd. Reverse is right about where 6th used to be. Had a couple close calls way back when.

I had a friend do that to his Datsun 240z last year on a highway pull... needless to say we ended up replacing that trans. And our pants...

Yeahh, I never actually did it but I got close.
"Why isn't this damn thing going into 6th???" :ohsnap: "There is no 6th"

I'd poop everywhere if I actually did that.. Thankfully I'm far enough removed from the Jeep that I don't try it anymore. I barely use 5th as it is anyway

Yeah 5th for me is almost useless if I'm not on the highway. 50mph is basically too slow for it.

If I'm driving the interstate, I'll use 5th but on the 2-lane coming into work I lose too much speed on the hills in 5th so I usually stay in 4th... (~65mph) :notsure:
