I tried everything short of a new paint job to bring my 09 super white back to... white. It never worked. If I even looked at it with dirty hands, that thing would get more brown/black around the edges of the door.

Just the roof and hood, that's the only bad paint.

    Compound 1st:

    Then fine cut cleaner/polishing compound:

Finish with show car glaze by hand (don’t let it dry wipe on with applicator pad on an entire area then wipe it off with microfiber rag)

    B03B4083-D068-4F9A-B566-3FCBCAEF2DA6.jpg

I used this pad for compound: This one for cleaner/polish: If I go with another hard wax on top I’ll use this one for application: I usually wipe wax off with a microfiber rag then run a fleece polishing pad over entire truck with the buffer.

I use a Porter Cable 6” buffer which was the same one Meguires sold in their kits rebranded back then when PC was worth a damn. I run it on speed 6 but you may want to go slower if you’re not used to them. Maybe a 4-5 and move up as you get used to it.

You can find all this stuff except the buffer at Harbor Freight.

dampen the pads and get the excess water out of them before starting. Put about 5-6 pea size dots of each liquid around the pad. Dab the pad around on the area you’re going to work on then turn it on and do slow passes over area. The change direction and go over it again. Keep going till you start to see a shine with the compound. Wipe off area then switch pads and go to polish. You will work the polish the same as above. 5-6 pea size dots, dab around and start. You’re going to work the polish longer because it’s going to break down from fine cut cleaner to a polish as you work. You will get that super shine from it. If you have any areas that didn’t shine right you will have to switch back to compound and start over again.

The white paint is a pain in the ass to clean up. It will have some areas that just won’t get cleaned up with one time and you’ll have to go over them a couple times with compound. Then go back to polish.

added plus: you can clean up your plastic lenses with this stuff also. Compound then polish. Works great.

with those pads and that buffer you don’t have to worry about burning the paint. You can press as hard as you want and it won’t burn through.

If you run into any issues tag me here or shoot me a pm. I’ll let you know what to do. I’ve been using this setup and cleaners for 20 years.

They’re about to get taken off sanded and painted along with front bumper. That’s all the shit the buffer slung off when I was cleaning the paint up.
