My favorite schedule was 3 12's Sat-Monday night's and they made up for the 40 hours ....then they allowed us to come in OT and do 14 hour shifts during the week

 

my schedule is kind of like that.. but also not really.
week 1, working: Monday, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sunday (off wed, thurs)
week 2, working: Wed, Thurs (off the others)
8pm-8am. I like the days off, but wish I hadnt volunteered to go to nights. I am enjoying the 16% differential though.

 

I work Wednesday night through Tuesday morning every other week. It's predictable and I can plan ahead months (technically years) ahead for something without having to use vacation time. Also with this schedule I can convert to being awake all night and back to being awake all day by the time i'm off work on Tuesday morning.

 

work tonight off Wednesday to flip then OT Thursday ,Friday ,Saturday ,Sunday nights. Hard on the body flipping. I can only sleep part of the day Wednesday. I installed a LED light bar Sunday and found out it is bad . I have to ship it out to get it replaced.

 

Mon-Fri 10:30p to 7am, off weekends. I like the consistency, and I get stuff done during the day, but it does get old. As much as I hate 12's, if we had the staffing and I could do 3 x 12 and get paid 40, that would be ideal. It might happen someday, but not at our current patient volume.

 

I work 12 hour Grave yard shifts 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.

 

Just checking in, night shift peeps.

Spent the night shoveling and snow blowing. Got dumped on here in Mid Michigan. Still have the ride home thru some areas that are really prone to drifitng. Hopefully the day pukes will have the trails blazed.

Of course I still have the house to take care of. I'm sure the snow plows have build a pretty good wall of snow in front of the drive. Might have to get out my secret weapon.

I love sno-blowing light fluffy stuff. Try to get the "rooster tail" over the power lines

I really enjoyed snow blowing... until the wind changed. I always made a point in PA to get out as soon as I could after the plow came through to try to get that berm broken down at the end of the driveway. If I didn't, the pile would fuse together and turn into a huge block of ice.

The Nanny programs here at the hospital are pretty restrictive.

 

Ours too. I had to resort to bringing in my own laptop just so I could watch YouTube, and Netflix.

Most of the RNs bring tablets to watch their shows on.

 

I tether my iPad to my phone if I get blocked.

 

I actually changed networks so I could do this. Gave up unlimited data, but no tethering for a data plan that allowed it. What are ya gonna do?
