I'm new to the site and also a Graveyard ninja.
Just wanted to pop in here and say hi!
I'm a supervisor for Liberty Mutual Insurance in the Publishing department in Kent, WA

 

just started my shift about an hour ago, I feel like I've been at work for 5 hours already. this shift is gonna suck

 

So glad there is only one more day after this, wished I would start getting some OT already!

 

Where are you in Central MI? I'm originally from Luzerne/Mio area

 

Got just over 2 hours to go

 

I'm on OT right meow

 

Midland.

Spent quite a bit of time in that area trout fishing. Had many drinks at Ma Diters.(sp?). Ashamed the place burned down last year.

One of my co workers is retired Nat Guard. He tells me they lost a Tomahawk missile off a chopper in your old area. They never found it. He swears its berried in the Hart wick Pines forest area. Who knows.

What part of the UP you in? I know the Chrystal Falls/Amasa area pretty good from my bear hunting days. Deer hunting was awesome as well.

I'm just jabbering via the key board. Very tired and anything is helping the night go by.

And so starts the 3 day weekend of work... Usually not to busy on the weekends here (knock on wood). Plenty of movie time haha. Already had several patients tonight though. People need to stop being sick/injured for the next 72 hours!

 

Off tonight so I can work the next 2 as our weekend, without going into OT.

Always on-call... for the next 3 years at least lol As far as what you're referring to, no... still waiting on leadership... it's only been 7 months... got to love the military pace!

 

Waiting for spring. It has been a warm boring winter.

 

Yep, if they were taking something away, it'd be done yesterday ... but otherwise, snail's pace.

Military was great at removing money. "Oh, we over paid you? It's coming out immediately." Yeah... But if you look here, you didn't pay me enough. "Oh, then we need you to give us your SSN again, fill out these five forms, and wait 6 weeks. Also, because you're getting money back, we're going to 'random' piss test you... Just because."

 

Very true! When I was in tech school, they were accidentally paying me BAS and being new to the Air Force had no clue that it was happening. Next thing I know my debit card is being declined and I find out I have a paycheck of $0. Didn't even make me aware of the mistake THEY made and then just took the entire paycheck and almost half of the next one. It was in November too, so I had no money to get home for the holidays... It was a mess. I've definitely had some good and fun times in the AF, but I'm definitely ready to separate...

And with that, time to start another shift! Already off to a fun start! Patient with a new onset of dementia! Always interesting cases!
