Not too much. Thinking about what to get/do with tax return. Either put it all in savings towards a house, or use half of it to get the haltech.

 

I'd go for a house...………….did I really just say that???

 

I know, I'm wondering when I became an adult since the thought of not spending it all on parts is even a possibility. Realistically I'd love to put it all towards the haltech, head work, and custom cams. But I don't think that's my wisest decision.

As a side note, the housing market is so insane right now, my other half and I have been looking for 6 months with no luck. We wanted to be in a house by the end of this coming summer, but at this point we're looking at bumping that to 2022.

 

I've heard that building right now is insanely priced.

 

Heck, I'm seeing 2 acre unmapped or evaluated parcels going for 35k, so just getting the property to build on isn't cheap. I work in the lumber industry, and I've got friends/family in the supply line so I've been hearing all about the record high prices for dimensional lumber all year. It's partially why I'm having to work 60-70 hour work weeks.

It won't end soon enough The closer I get to a dayshift job...the worst my nights seem to be worse

 

the more I work from home, the less I want to be driving into an office adding 2 hours onto my work day. Looking outside the state to see what’s available in the private sector.

 

I'd REALLY enjoy working from home

 

My other half would REALLY enjoy me working from home. She's not a fan of my 70 hour work weeks plus an hour commute each way to work.

 

I don't know how'd I'd like the Hr drive. I'm only about 30 minutes away now.....the new ER is 6 miles away

 

I don’t mind the drive; it’s 2 less hours of sleep. I’m only getting 4.5-5 hours a day now.

 

Ouch. I pretty well need 6 each night to function the next day without being a prickly asshole.
