I agree. It truly is the best part of Arkansas. So much to do and gorgeous views. The fishing is great as well, especially for trout on the white river. I wouldn't live anywhere else.

Depends if you want to fish or "fish". The latter involves lots of booze and a good time. The former gets boring after a while if they aren't biting lol.

Yeah. You're missing out. I have a love hate relationship with fishing. It's fun to go when the fish are biting but once they quit there goes the fun haha. But seriously it's fun. Nothing like reeling in a 2lb large mouth.

It's something to try at least once. I bought some lighter tackle for up here. Fishing for trout or even smaller bass with a 6ft ultra light gets exciting. Caught a 2-3lber that felt like Moby Dick. It was bending the rod almost in half lol.

Its something that's easy to get into for fairly cheap but like any other hobby once you get hooked can cost a shit ton.

Research around and pickup an inexpensive setup and try it out. Just be sure to purchase any fishing licenses that are required in your area, something a lot of newbies sometimes forget.

One of the easiest ways to test the waters is to get a group of guys you're comfortable with and charter a guide for an afternoon somewhere. Just be honest with them that you haven't fished really before and they will take care of you. It can get a little pricy but they will work their ass off to make sure you catch fish, provide all the gear, you don't need a license, and you can drink and BS without worrying about much of anything.

^^^^ What he said! Nothing like reeling in Trout or Salmon out on Lake Michigan! Most likely have a hell of a fight on your hands. 3 year old Trout DO NOT want to be in your boat!
