but that 16% shift differential, they said.

I think I would like to have a normal sleep schedule

No wife, no kids.
10% ns bonus.
Just trying to pad my pension for the next 7 yrs then i can fish and drink beer all day long.

 

right!! i am dying already and only 5 hours in. 7 to go and i am already hunting coffee

at least the braves finally won a game so tonight isnt a total loss

What does everyone do for work? I think I remember wabs saying he's law enforcement. I'm a nurse. Curious about all the other regulars in here

yup, the $80 shift differential i get is nowheres near enough comp for getting off at 11:15 every day

Ramp Agent, AKA Baggage Handler... although in reality we do sooooo much more than just toss bags

 

If you went through A,B or C concourse theres a small chance i may have been the idiot in the orange vest yelling into my radio trying to find your bags

Most of the time it's not boring here, but the last week or two it's been slower than smoke coming off dog shit.

 

What's normal? Oh, you mean the poor bastards that I watch in bumper to bumper traffic, jockeying for position, giving each other the bird, as I drive out of town on a empty road. If that is normal I don't want none!

Hospital maintenance

 

We've talked on the Nurse thread. Working an extra OT shift tonight....

 

ive realized after 1.5 years of night shift, its not for me. I am trying to back to days. My commute is 6 minutes, so Im not worried about that. The only thing Id lost would be the shift differential.

Im young still.. Id like to have some friends/life
