I've been impressed with Matheny as well. I expected a significant drop-off in quality of play post-LaRussa, but this year not withstanding, I've been pleasantly surprised. Now if only the Astros can stop being the DisAstros and play better than a high school baseball team.

It's funny, when people down here find out I'm a fan of both teams, they look at me with crazy eyes. I don't care if they're arch enemies. I love baseball.

Dad went to Wash U for his Ph.D. I had a chance to visit the campus about ten years ago, and the pictures he still has do not do the campus or the city justice. Forrest Park was awesome, and most people outside StL don't realize that it's actually larger than NYC's Central Park. St. Louis has some rough areas (especially near the campus), but I really liked the city and especially the baseball culture.

Lol, well at least one of your teams likes to win. I've been surprised by the lack of baseball fandom down there in general. My dad can't get anyone to talk about baseball at work but, of course, has no issue with football.

Yes Washu is beautiful. It's in a nice piece of the city actually, the Delmar loop with all the trendy shops is right by it. SLU also has a nice city campus. And St. Louis really is a gem when it comes to parks and museums considering almost everything is free. I think Forest park is close to being the largest city park in the country.
There are the rough spots around, but as long as you have your bearings you're fine in the city.

Working on sat again. 5 weeks in a row.
Atleast its gotten cold enough now that I can finish up the yard when I have time and not right this instant.

My neighbor (who hasnt lived there long) had noticed that I was leaving for work 4 hrs early everyday and cut the entire side of my yard bordering his property. Very kind of him.

My neighbor used ti do that for me too once he found out I was on shift work, then started just coming in to my backyard to do that lawn too, then just letting himself over there while I was doing it or cooking. Got a little creepy stalkerish from me just being nice to the guy, had to super cold shoulder him passive aggressively so he'd get the point that we're neighbors, not BFFs, especially with a 30 year age gap.

    Yea, that would get creepy.
I dont think he will be a prob. When we first met I was in the garage cleaning some long guns and my personal carry. He was hollering for me at the end of my driveway because he didnt want to enter the property.

The side of the yard that he cut was mostly ceder trees and they arent even really close to the house.

I think he was just being helpfull, but after hearing your story...i'll keep an eye on my security system.

Yeah I mean dude has been nice about it the whole time, but hes just suuuuuper nosy. I was ok with it for a while until he started commenting on stuff neither of us had ever told him that he could know by looking over our fences, and not just a quick glance. Thats about where I drew the line
