Had to throw out caffeine from my diet, crap was messing with my already jacked up sleep pattern.

Non coffee drinker, but I drink a ton of diet coke. The amount of caffeine & aspartame couldn't be doing me any good.

Going on 2 wks with out it & surprising the sleep I do get is much better.

Water, decaff tea, & sprite/7up are the liquids of choice now.

 

When I was full time grave, years ago...I took diet pills...phenphedrine (?) to be exact...I'm not fat, but that stuff would keep me awake and alert running around like crazy. Until I started feeling palpitations, anxiety, and my heart telling me to calm the fuck down or it was going to explode.

I've never been a coffee, red bull, energy drink stuff guy...i keep soda to a minimum when i go out. So i needed something to keep me awake. it was rough.

 

dude i hate that feeling. gotta agree with at least one thing markmatters said...window open on drive home usually helps and a good dose of death metal

 

I can sleep like a baby after drinking a whole pot of coffee. Only thing that bothers my sleep is the crazy ass kids of mine screaming or slamming doors.

Oh yeah! I do all of that on a regular basis on the drive home. I must look like a lunatic haha! Gotta do what you gotta do...

METAL IS A MUST! Even when wide awake!

 

I'm a rock when it comes to sleeping...I can fall asleep anywhere and nothing will wake me up. There's only certain things that will disturb my sleep...weird stuff like, my phone's ringtone will not wake me up...but the alarm ringtone on that same phone will wake me...dispatch alarm wakes me up, but I can sleep through 11 other dudes watching a game on TV and making all kinds of noise...

 

Same here... With the exception of having to piss REAL BAD!

 

...maybe if I had a 12 pack in me!

And as for the driving after work....windows down, radio up!

 

Yep & barking ass dogs. My own in particular.

Just recently woke me going ape shit crazy barking. I'm like wth? got up thinking she'd cornered a cat or some varmint.

^hahahaha. My dogs do not bark in the house at all. My Mali will bark once at the doorbell and that's it. My GSD doesn't move for anything except the sound of the fridge door.

I have had my fair share of dozing off at the wheel. That's why I ride my motorcycle as often as possible. Something about the loud ass wind and hearing all those cars just inches from you tends to keep you awake. hahahaha

 

in a way yes. we are in the mist of coming up with a way to cure/prolong lives of people with hepititis and also top secret cancer R&D.

 

Our Lab is good in the house.....outside, he's a maniac. Barking constantly & chews everything. So he stays in when I'm sleeping.

 

I do the same. Pill factory maintenance!

 

Almost over now....big bosses should be stumbling in here before too long.

 

We have to stay over for a meeting so ill be here a while......

 

Ive nodded off on my motorcycle before, rumble strip on ride of road saved my ass, literally. If i feel the slightest bit tired i drink some redline before driving home

 

Please dont take this the wrong way... i am not trying to spam at all!!!! But i just started working for a company that just started up.... we have a energy shot that is like 5hr, but all natural and no caffiene... You can see my link in my sig for more info. My nightshift guys i work with us my product to get through the night and say that it works great.
