Glad I have a micro lawn. Takes me half an hour that includes edging and sweeping. But part of me would like a nice little spread like you guys have...

Every year I do the math for cutting my 1/2 acre.

The cost of the mower, edger, leaf blower, string trimmers, chain saw to trim trees and all the fuel to run these pieces of equipment adds up.

I start to wonder at what point is my time worth more than I can pay someone to do this job. I look at all the room I would have in my shop to work on my trucks vs storing all this equipment. There would be one, huge chunk of wall(s) space if I sold all this equipment.

My brother in law has paid for his lawn service for 35 years. I used to think he was wasting a huge wad of money...I don't think that anymore.

I still enjoy caring for my yard, but I don't think I like it as much as I used to. I dunno.

I cut about 3 acres. it's not to bad until about the 5th cut then I hate it. I have thought about letting it go but look good cut. I have let some parts go.
cutting keeps the ticks down. no edging weed wack every second or third cut. thought about a lawn service the got the quote. the tractor is paid for. so I cut and cut and cut

I got the 3m worktunes Bluetooth earmuffs, just throw on an album, put a cold beer in a coozie and zone out. It's actually kinda therapeutic to do about an acre and a half

    That dog won't hunt!

I put 6 in a cooler. Ride up to the deck to grab a refill. 45 minutes later the cooler is empty and I still got over half the lawn to cut. I refill the cooler, but don't make It back on the mower.

Haven't done the cooler yet. The garage fridge is easy enough to access.

Some of the neighbors give me weird looks, but mostly I think it's a "why don't i do that" look

See what you gotta do is get land that is 75% woods, haha. My childhood home has 5 acres. Only 3/4 of 1 acre needs to be cut. But half of that is on a steep hill.

Looong night last night creating a bunch of Google Sheets files. Transitioning our rounds to digital format. As for home chores, got word our palm trees don't have a deadly fungus so I need to trim them up. They are poky and deadly  anyone near here wanna come trim em up?!!?...

Applied for... still no update on the application process... If so though, yeah, quick trim.
