Finally a break in the action to check in here. Fairly busy tonight with small stuff but it's passing time. At least @koditten got us covered for beer

Here was my obligatory taco (& T4R) and alcohol shot from this am:

Truck finally goes under the knife this weekend for the front end overhaul... then muuuuuch needed tires to follow, hopefully soon.

Jack and Coke :burp:... but actually, I used to try and race the sun, but with sunrise at 630 ish now, there's no hope. My sleep room is pitch black. Takes me a few mins to tire after seeing the sun but not too bad. Just used to it I guess.

makes sense. does your sleep room not have any windows or how did you completely black it out? Seems that no matter what i do with blackout curtains, the sun is always peeping through somewhere

Two big windows actually. Tin foil over the windows with tape and then multiple layers of black out cloth. Not pretty but functional. Took a few tries to get it really dark but it helps so much. I used to use a sleep mask but can't sleep well with them. I also cram a blanket at the door base to seal that off and ran some door weather stripping along the door jam. all reversible but necessary.

I had tin foil on the 2 huge bay windows in my bedroom. From the outside it looked like I was running a huge marijuana grow operation, so I quickly took it down. Lol.
Just went with triple black sheets and a homemade quilt my mom and gram made me.

And yup. Sometimes after sitting in this chair all nite, all I need is a beer or 2 and I'm out like a light.

My sleep room is the back of the house so it's out of sight at least.

Helps a lot if you can stand the sight from outside.

or do... :rasta: just don't post about it online :D:D

I would be putting them over the blinds so you wouldn't be able to see it... I already have blackout blinds that get most of the job done but foil would really help get things as dark as possible

I didn't even think about taping foil as first layer. I just need something reversible as I already got in trouble with the other half when I put about 15 holes in the wall around the window using nails on the blackout curtain :anonymous:
