    If I copy and build something that is patent pending, but don't sell it, is it considered intellectual theft?

    If I use this item to help me make future money, is it considered intellectual theft? Do I owe royalties?

    The reason I need to build this item is it is presently sold out and new stock availability is unknown.

    I want to buy the item, but I want it sooner than later.
