I honestly havnt even started saving for retirement.
If they offer a 25/55, I can take that in 7 yrs. However, I won't make enough on my pension to survive.

Also have another plan... :D:fingerscrossed: Although we probably spend less than $10 a year on tix, but you never know.

I spend about the same for scratch offs. Of course I buy them and give them to the guy that sells me my booze.

If I still went to the bars, I'd be tipping the help. What's the difference if I tip the counter person with some scratch offs?

One can be used as currency... But the chance at so much more is enticing :D

That's good. Is it dollar for dollar to 6%?

Ours is dollar for dollar for the first 3% and .50 for the next 2% iirc. Total of 5%. Free money though. Well, "free" if you wanna work for it

Mine is 4%. New hires that don't have a pension, get 7%.

    I didn't save a dime till I hit 44.
If my health holds out, and I am doing pretty good, the plan is to stay with the job till I'm 67. The wife is two years younger so for us it's the medical. I've got a great job with gold standard benies, so I can hopefully retire with very little debt. I'm 60 now. I am contributing 13% the company is good for 3%. I should increase to 15% and probably will soon. But the coming war will totally fuck up any and all plans we make so it's all a roll of the dice. Got a little over 400k in the 401 as of now so keep my head down and keep at it and hope for the best.

Vehicle wise the plan is to drive the 2013 till I can't climb into it anymore. I don't live but 4 miles from my job, and have an old 93 Toyota truck for that commute, and because of that the 2013 only has 14,000 on it. So it should last a while yet...

Being below 30, retirement is still far off. My current job has a pension which would be fantastic if I stuck with them until 55-60, but we have plans to move soon and I guess I'll just max out the 401k at whatever new company I land at. I seriously doubt I'll ever retire though and probably turn to hunting/fishing guiding in "semi retirement." I plan to drive my taco until the wheels fall off which should be 300k+ miles so I'm not concerned with a vehicle payment anytime soon. (Plus it's almost paid off :D

    Finally someone who gets it.

Repairing and driving a vehicle is way cheaper than car payments!
