There's one of the bigger relay that's labeled TOW TAIL if that's what you're referencing?

Owners manual diagram? or is there one under the lid, or is that what you're referencing?

It's labeled on the underside of the lid. Checked all the fuses related to the towing/trailer and they're all good. I removed the ground on the trailer and the running lights still work, so not sure what's going on there.

Very valid point. Sucks to have to take it back in but at least it'll be free (should) or maybe just eyeball all the wiring just to double check first before dealer hassle.

I did notice that there's a fuse and relay labeled LED DRL on the fuse box, but the fuse and relay are missing. I doubt they're related to trailer lights though

good luck, im having a similar issue with my Tacoma and a Chevy Suburban. im actually about to rewire the entire trailer and see if that fixes it. one thing you might check, is to see that the pinout on the trailer plug is. theres two ways to wire a seven pin, RV style and Commercial, IIRC the Tacoma's are set up for RV style from the factory, but the tundra may be on commercial and some wiring is switched.

That's for canada trucks. We don't require them yet in the states.

Testing the plug with a digital multi meter is a pain. The "ghost" voltage will confuse you every time. I keep an analog meter for just such a reason. seeing the needle sweep in time with the signal is much easier than watching numbers climb and recede.

I have a digital, but it also has a small graph under the number readout showing the voltage directly without any digital processing. its a nifty feature for stuff like that.

Got my LED tail lights via UPS just as we were getting home from our first Ice Cream outing of the summer... I'll likely install them tomorrow.
