    So in other news, I read this great article. "Former Valve Writer Posts Possible Half-Life 2: Episode 3 Plot Summary".

    I'm a Half-Life freak, and I'm one of the guys dying for either Half-Life 3 OR the 3rd damned episode in the series. Apparently, former Valve writer Marc Laidlaw has posted a fictional letter on his site that sure reads like a possible plot summary for Half-Life 2: Episode 3.

    It's good, and a nice read if you're a fan like me.

    I do as well, and I try not to, but they are getting paid 24/7 when on-call.

    I don't know what our guys get. They're regular engineers, so they're on salary.

    They all take regular turns for off-shift coverage, so it might just be part of their salary package.

    Love brisket; can't find amazing bbq up here in the northeast. There are some decent places but nothing mind blowing like I've had in the south.
