    Welcome to the Graveyard!:hattip:

I expected my 06 to fail last year. Got the call before I got home...
It passed! Shit, I was hoping for the opossite! There seems to be quite a bit of inconsistency in the inspections. Hope you get the outcome you want:fingerscrossed:

The dealer gave my frame a fail, Toyota corp wont give a ruling until tomorrow or friday. after that its a waiting game for parts. while its the outcome i was expecting, the experience after that was... less than stellar. Dealership was apparently "Out of loaner vehicles" and the rental place wont rent me a car for a variety of reasons. so i have my truck in my possession until the parts physically arrive at the dealership. also, the service department made zero effort to sort out a loaner vehicle after being informed that i was unable to get a rental car. they basically told me i could either take my truck back and drive it until the parts come in or i was on my own. Now, my frame is nowhere near unsafe do drive for another month or two, the fact that they made absolutley zero effort of any kind to work out a loaner left a bad taste in my mouth,

Man. I missed a lot I'm here the past couple days. Had to go run out and double check my frame almost . @Gaunt596 , I thought that if the dealer keeps your truck they are obligated to give you a loaner and not an f-u? Not entirely sure, but may be worth looking into and a call to service manager and then possibly Toyota Corp. That's some BS.

    1 of 4 though.

they are. and when they have the parts in and are doing the work, they guaranteed they will have a loaner available. but, in the mean time, im not getting shit. but whatever. all i can say is if they give me the "beater" loaner that thing is gonna be dirtier then theve ever seen when it comes back, and with some suspicious number out lines in the dirt

If I were REALLY bad, I'd tell him that I know a place here in CO where they drill M1 Abrams' fairly regular.

I might even know where they cross the highway at...

I play around with home automation a bit, but nothing serious.

I build PC's and game a bit, just built a new one that absolutely flies!

Home automation has always sounded interesting, where's the best place to start (generally speaking)?

I don't really know how to respond. Amazon Elexis and Google home are pretty mindless to get up and running, but I didn't want that kind of presence. I think we are monitored enough as it is. I keep it simple and control things manually vs. letting some AI do the job.

I guess I'm asking, what prompted you into getting into home automation, and what's the best way you've found to set up something that you liked?

For example, the only things I'd really think about automating at our place would be maybe lighting, or maybe something to run my older home theater stuff a little simpler. I'd love to have Rosie from the Jetsons do my dishes, but I really don't even know what's possible or reasonable.

As you know, we work some stupid, odd hours. Many of us are on call during our off days.

My hobby is metal fabrication. I have a small shop for welding projects that is separate from the house. My biggest fear is a structure fire.

Welding alone, then have to dodge off to work, I worry that something may be fixing to catch on fire. Most welders are taught to remain on location 30 minutes after done welding and watch to see if something may light off. I don't have that option if required to report to work.

With That said I opted to wire my shop with my own router and camera as well as lighting that I can control remotely. I can scan the shop as I'm heading to work or while I'm at work. In addition, the camera will email me if its motion detector goes off. I'll get a picture of what triggered the camera. So it doubles as a security system as well.

I just took this picture minutes ago after I turned on one of my lights.20170831_011829.jpg
