I'll be in that same boat soon. Somehow broke a molar last week, it's gonna need a crown. :(

Told my dentist no more crowns or bridges. When the molars go bad, they are coming out! I got one bridge left and I hate that bastard. Can't wait til it cracks. It won't be replaced.

"She (dentist, very sadistic at that) said you lose 25% of your chewing surface every time you get one yanked". I said "no problem, I get most of my calories in the liquid form anyways" She didn't think that was funny. I told her "you work for me, not the other way around"

Nah. I have a suspicion it has to do with being bad and not wearing my retainer at night.

Dentist said that tooth had a lot of old fillings in it, it could have been anything really that broke it. As far as breaks go he said this wasn't a bad one, it's not down into the nerve or the pulp or anything.

Mine had a large old filling in it. I am bad about grinding my teeth or clinching my jaw. I need to stop doing that and just say what I want to say. LOL However, that might get me in trouble..... or fired.

    That's pretty funny.

If it wasn't for beer I'd probably only weigh about a buck-fifty. Thanks to beer I'm a "healthy" 210! (at least that's what my Grandma would have said)

I hear ya on that one!

I had to keep my trap shut after an email I got hit a sore spot just tonight. Nothing in it was accurate, and it was SO tempting to "HEY now, but...".

    Gotta pick your battles, right?

Well, they'll never speak their mind. They'll say "Oh it's FINE", when it's clearly not!

    Oh - WINCHES. Never mind.

Most everyone I know including myself, runs a warn m8000. (8k lb). You pretty much need a winch that's double your vehicle weight.

Synth line is preferred and much safer as it doesn't store energy like a cable does.

I run 80 ft of amsteel blue 5/8 I believe. Had it custom spliced while I stood there talking to the guy.
Plus 2× 50 ft extensions in case I need to get further out.

A snatch block acts as a reducer when pulling. Think block and tackle.

Don't waste your money on an infrared remote. They suck.

Use a fairlead instead of a typical roller style to guide your winch rope.

As I am a pre runner....I need every advantage I can get because I wheel/fish alone quite a bit.
It's gotten me out probably 5 really bad spots and has paid for itself time and time again.

Do you run dual batteries as well? I've been looking up info on these as well. I'd get a WARN, but with a pelfreybuilt or arb bumper, and I'd have to put a true suspension lift on then.
