    You might know more about it than I do then, I bought it used bare bones with just the KP furniture on it. I was actually in the store to buy a 10/22 take down, walked out with this instead. Was my first 10/22, everyone needs to own a 10/22 at some point.

    It's taken some massaging to get it to run as reliably as a stock 10/22 but it runs good now.

    Nah, I just remember them being cool looking stocks.

    I think those were out around the time I got a bullpup stock for mine - looked cool as hell but man did the trigger pull ever suck.

    Partially traded it for my first AR. :bananadance:

    You ain't kidding! My trigger wouldn't reset when I first got it, figured out it was the AK grip interfering with the trigger gaurd and putting stress on the return pin and spring so the trigger would jam up. I bought a Houge Rubber overmolded AK grip and modified it a bit with some dremeling some shims and a custom stop plate I made to keep the grip lug from traveling towards tbe trigger group. In the process I bought a ruger upgraded trigger, it's one of the lightest triggers I've felt ever. I've done a few internal tweeks too, the bolt catch mod, the bolt buffer mod, beefed up some of the thin spots of the stamped steel chassis etc.

    She's solid and reliable now! And an absolute hoot to shoot!

    I think the original kits were made by a company called Norrell (?).

    I'm also pretty sure the registered conversions were around $20k last time I looked.
