What grease do you recommend for lubricating the adjustable seat rail? I'm not sure that is what it is called. The one on the floor it slides on when I pull the lever to make the entire seat go towards and away from the wheel. It is kinda sticky/rough to move and probably has 10 years of dust, sand and fast food crumbs gunking it up.
Also do you think removing the entire seat would be hard to get it out and back on "just right" so its still solid ? Either taking it off the rails it slides on or the entire thing out. I wanted to vacuum real good under them and also clean up where a puppy threw up (better).

I'd probably use White Lithium Grease. I purchased a tube of Lucas brand from home depot for like $8 or $9 dollars.

I've not removed the seats from my truck but it can't be that hard. I think you'll need to unhook an airbag sensor that's under the passenger seat. Not sure if the driver has it too? Someone else here will be able to tell you better. Good Luck!

There are 4 bolts that hold in the seats, all you do is remove the 4 bolts (14mm) and then tilt it backwards and using a flat blade screwdriver you remove the sensor connectors that are under the seats, then when you put them back in make sure each individual track is equal to the other (either all the way forward, or all the way back) one so you dont have to fight to get it back into place.

Just get some white lithium in a spray and use the straw. Move the seat all the forward and get some in the track then move it all the way back and do the same. Then hop in and slide it back and forth. You don’t need to take the seat out.

Removing the seats is super easy. Just take care with the electric connections. Probably a good idea to take some pix as you go so you can find your way home without any confusion.

A white lithium grease is fine and probably compatible with what remains of the original grease after you’ve finished cleaning.

I have some nice synthetic bicycle greases, and I tend to use those for stuff like this. If you have any of those around consider them, but I wouldn’t recommend a separate purchase when lithium grease is available.
