I certainly don't need one, but seems like DeWalt makes a battery powered grease gun. Anybody seen one of those?

Guess it's personal preference too. I use a grease gun every day on an excavator. Lots of pumps. If I had to do that with a pistol grip I'd have forearms like Popeye. Over time you figure how to hold the gun that it can be done with one hand if need be. Bottom line like someone said what's in the gun is the important part. You can't go wrong with any type. Good luck man.

Also good advice is to clean the zerk with acetone or some solvent before attaching the coupler.

@OZ-T on a side note it was an update issue with the PS4. It wouldn't allow me to do the update, but once it finally did zero issues since then. Thanks for all the help

So should all these zerks be done once or twice a year?

I've been using a cheapo ACE hardware pistol grip non flex hose gun for a while and while it is good I think a hose would make it better. Plus when I'm really squeezing hard the grease comes out around the plunger shaft (personal problem I know :p)

I grease mine about every 10K miles. The fronts ALWAYS, ALWAYS have good grease in them. The rears seem to loose more grease because shaft is always turning.

Should I grease around all the washers of the UCA's as well?

If you got stock UCA's there is nothing to do.

Putting grease there wont help, and at worst, if you use a petroleum based grease it will promote decomposition of the rubber bushing.

If you ever get around to pulling your UCA bolts out, grease em'. Helps them withstand corrosion much longer.

I use a pistol grip grease gun I got from Lowes. It's on clearance right now for $6 and added a flexible hose for another $3 IIRC. The same basic design as some of the ones posted already.
    http://www.lowes.com/pd_463902-47120-SGY-GUN5C_0__?productId=4753420

I would say that a battery powered grease gun is overkill for most maintenance issues we do on our trucks, unless you do it for a living. Usually all it takes is a couple pumps per fitting and you're good to go.

And on a side note of overgreasing your UCAs: I overgreased when I installed mine. I stopped immediately when I noticed that one of the bushings started to bulge, but it was already too late. It ended up being a simple fix though: unbolt the zerk and loosen the UCA bolt. Then just massage and rotate the bushing back and forth and it will push the grease back out the opening for the zerk. Wipe away all the excess with paper towels or you'll have a greasy mess on your hands (literally and figuratively). Then put the zerk back you you're golden.

I would grease the UCA bolt, but follow the Camburg directions and do whatever they say for their product.

If you're up to it, I strongly recommend you grease your LCA bolts and cams before they rust to the bushings.

So what maybe 1 to 2 squirts per zerk to not overdo it?
