I have seen mixed reports on how to properly grease UCA bushings. Some say to grease until you see the bushing and washer move out and then stop, others say to grease until you see a little grease come out between washer and bushing. I called Dirt King and they said that if you let the grease come out between bushing and washer they will not work properly. Last time I greased this happened, and the squeak still persisted but went away eventually. Do I need to have my UCA "rebuilt" because some grease got out? I have only had issues with my driver's side UCA and squeaking. Passenger side has never had issues.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
did you ever get an answer?
I'm thinking I'll just loosen the bolt, do a pump or 2 of grease, jump on the front end a few times so the bouncing smears the grease, then retorque the bolt. Might press the center pin on the zerk to relieve pressure after torqueing, not sure. My assumption is that the grease will eventually work its way around while driving either way and I'd rather not over fill it.

Loosen the bolts. Apply grease. Tighten. This is from their install sheet for the boxed UCAs. It’s not clear how much grease ... I add until I see it swell and figure if anything seems odd (squeaks) I’ll add more, but never had an issue.

Less is more when it comes to that. One or two pumps and drive around. Add more if you want later. Overfill will do more harm than good.
