I was pleasantly surprised with my service from N2 designs and I try to give kudos where they are deserved.

Long story short: my remote start stopped working last spring and I hadn't had a chance to look at it until recently so I thought I'd contact Jimmy if he was still monitoring the TW Bat-signal. Sure enough he got right back to me with a phone number.

I texted him today and he called me back within 20 minutes. He had me do a couple tests and tell him what if any lights lit. When he realized it wasn't going to work he told me to box it up and ship it to him and he'd send me another.

    Went something like:
Me:"Sounds good what do I owe for the new module?"
Jimmy:"Well, I will need you to pay the shipping since you're out of warranty."
Me:"Uh, that's it, just shipping?" Thinking I had heard it wrong.
Jimmy said something like:"Isn't that how everyone does it?"

One of the most painless customer service experiences I've ever had. Well done.

I had a quick question a few weeks back researching their products, shot off an email, received a personal reply in a few hours if not sooner. Now I am just stashing some extra cash away for few weeks to save up for the MT Remote start :goingcrazy: - next year hoping to add the phone app. I love getting in a temperate and iceless vehicle!!

That's definitely nice and my plan too! I'm just sad I can't load the vehicle while it is warming up since I have push button. But blame Toyota for that.

Always wondered why, for push button couldn’t they deactivate vehicle if brake is depressed and fob is not in the vehicle? But you’ll be fine, seems like you just have to figure out your sequence, can’t you just hop in and start with push start. Small annoyance for sure, but doesn’t come close to the pro of not scraping a windshield at 5am.

    Anyway

No. The reason it shuts off is a safety measure. If you start it and walk away, it won't allow you to lock it since the key isn't detected (despite using the fob to try and lock it). Then anyone is free to get in and drive it away. I have tested this and no, it doesn't shut off when you try to drive it without the key. This isn't unique to Toyota though. I actually learned of this issue from a Silverado.

Yup! Only ones in the world, we invented it, and have been selling them for two years now with ZERO failure rate or returns. Bullet proof kits. We saw the industry left a lot of folks desiring this for 3rd gen MT plug n play kits but no one wanted to take on the safety aspect of it (not allowing you to remote start in gear) so we addressed that too all while not needing the average DIY'er to have to install and wire a gear position sensor...that wouldn't have been consumer friendly at all. So it's plug n play just like the HKEY Automatic Trans with one extra step per instructions. And you have key take over (unlike the PTS guys) as well as ability to add the smart phone control module (also plug n play - plug into the remote starter only not your car) at anytime!

I almost didn't get an MT (stupidly) because it didn't have remote start, (I go to work every day in NE at 5am:sadviolin:) but actually the dealer I was working with told me there was an aftermarket solution (yours) and I was stoked!

First dealer I met with, Toyota in Westerly, RI. I had to get the truck somewhere else bc they couldn't find an MT in cement for me. But the guy I met with had Tacoma and was obviously up to date on the mod scene :) . Might be on here somehwere??

Hell yes, that's what made it such an easy sale to us MT guys when they came out. Have your manual transmission cake and remote start it too!
