Ok, so it has been installed for a week or so, over a week, I dunno, but I like it for the most part. The main thing I dont like is that the antenna seems to not be that strong. One of the radio stations I listen to regularly doesnt come in well anymore. There was only one spot in town where it would get staticy, and now it is staticy everywhere.

Bilstein 5100 front shocks, Clarion VX409 DVD/ipod head unit, aFe air filter, Grillcraft MX grille, color matched grille surround.
The head unit shouldn't make much of a difference in radio reception since both it and the original stereo use the same antenna(the Tacoma's).
Are you sure the antenna cable plugged in correctly? Without the antenna plugged in, the reception will be poor.

That could be, I have to take it apart again, I will double check it. I know it is hooked up because where I live all of the stations would be staticy. But thanks, I will double check that.

You have to get a locking on/off switch. Then you have to take the long green wire that you are supposed to tap into the parking brake light and run it to the switch, then run a wire from the switch to a ground. Which I just ran it into the ground for the radio. I got the wrong switch at first so I need to redo it and find a different place for it.

I've had mine in for about a week and I would agree that the radio sensitivity is not as strong as the stock unit. Radio reception for normally very strong local signals is a little fuzzy. Maybe a booster is in store... not sure how well they work though.

Do you know if you used a 'momentary' switch or a regular on/off switch. I've heard conflicting stories for this.
