I have 1 kid about the graduate High School, my daughter is sophomore and then we have my 3 year old son. Our older kids are so in to other things it’s RARE we are all 5 in a truck anymore. My neighbor is a finance manager at Hendrick Toyota and I text him out of the blue on the 20th and said I wanted a TRD Off-Road in Magnetic Grey. On the 21st he told me to come have lunch with him and bring my Ford. I went home in my Magnetic Grey Toyota. He really took care of me on my trade and smokin deal on the Taco.

Took me about 4 days to get use to the size difference and the difference in power. I had the Ecobeast engine in my F-150. Today I glanced out the window of my house and fell in love with my new Tacoma. I LOVE it. It was strange. For about 6 -7 days I was like, wtf did I do. Then today, I was over it and just really happy to be in a Toyota. I took my stepdad down to the dealership and he traded in his F-150 on a new Tacoma SR5 4WD as well. His truck is beautiful. He got the White with the dark grey rims. Really sets off well with the white.

Anyway, it’s good to be back in the Toyota family and here with you guys. Everyone on here has been awesome.

The Toyota dealership had my truck up on the used lot the day after I traded it in. Here are some pics...

I’m not going to go insanely crazy with Taco, but I am doing a few things to it....

    Nitto Trail Grappler -285/70R16
    Black Tacoma Badges -
AFE Mach 3 Exhaust w/Black tip.
    Rough Country 2” leveling kit
    Bull Bar with LED Light

I have the tires on. The leveling kit will be installed Friday along with my black Tacoma Badges. The AFE Exhaust is ordered along with my Predator side steps and Bull Bar. I’m not doing anything else. That will be enough for me.

Here are some pics. My F-150, my new TRD Off-Road and my stepdads new SR5.

Thanks for welcoming me in and hope everyone is having an awesome week.

If I may make a suggestion, check out the SSO Slimline bumpers rather than a bull bar. You can get them with light bar cut outs specifically for the lights you want.

Curious why your stepdad decided to get one as well? It’s not easy going from a full-size to mid. I’m struggling a bit, but sure is nice when parking in crowded lots.

Good choices! You’ll catch yourself looking at your truck several times as you park and walk away from it. Lol

Plus your wallet will thank you should you decide to sell as the resale value is much better than a Ford.

Welcome aboard, just curious as to why you traded, I know you mentioned you didn't need the extra room, but aren't the ecoboosts supposed to get great mpgs along with great power? Was the Ford giving you mechanical head aches? I'm not a Ford guy at all but yours was a beautiful truck, anyway congrats on the yota.

No, not a thing wrong with my F-150. The Ecoboost twin turbo is THE way to go in full size pick ups. The only thing faster, stronger and better is the Raptor ecoboost. I drive 70 miles round trip to work every day. I put 47,000 miles on the F-150 in 22 months. Driving that far, I wanted something that would have better trade in value every 3-4 years.

Same reason as me. He drives a lot to work. Resale is better on Tacoma’s. He had one before he got the F-150. He only had the full size for 2 years. He bought he 2013 F-150 in 2015 for 23,000. He got 19,000.00 for it when he traded. He only financed like 25,000.00 on the new Tacoma. He’s happy.

I can’t tell if you all are serious or joking. I just built this house 2 years ago. It’s taken me a long time to get my lawn green. It’s still not where I want it.

me too. I driver 80 miles a day and then add another 250 miles running around on weekends. I don't need full size being myself and wife and it is so much easier to park and get around on city streets. I have a 16 Diesel Colorado right now with 47k on it and my 18 Tacoma will be in in about a month. Trade value is much better. I had 15 Tundra before and it did well too but Colorado trade is not so great!! Been a good truck though.
