I'm insured by State Farm and about 1.5 years ago I totaled my Chevy Z71 (my fault). The damage was estimated at ~$9.5K, and after State Farm added up my options and add on's, I was cut a check within 10 days for around $12.5K. The amount they gave me was worth the replacement value. State Farm was also easy to deal with when it came to the $45K in medical bills shortly thereafter. I hope your experience with the at-fault insurance company is smooth. If they low-ball you, get an attorney. I've had to twice before with Allstate.

Well, didn't take any lying to get the amount I was happy with/expecting.
Just waiting on funds to clear my account now.

Going through State Farm made this an easy deal. Things were a bit crazy the day of the accident, and they were less than helpful then.....but its been smooth ever since.

Been looking for a replacement ever since. Originally thought another 1st gen was a no brainer...except I wanted to upgrade to a 4wd. After some extensive searching and looking at prices, Ive started to lean towards a 4th Gen 4Runner. I can get fewer miles, 4wd, and have some funds left over for armor and wheels/tires.

Still looking but happy with how things have turned out. I loved that truck but glad my friends and I are ok.

    Thanks for the replies!
