@boogie3478 why don't you change your user name to @tacomaholic?

Edit: oh shit, it's already a user name. Didn't pop up when I was tagging it though. Not until I @'ed and clicked on it.

I usually go to advanced auto because it's closer, but I like that auto zone has their tool rental program on their website and apparently there's one near me. They give 90 days to return tools, so I'm going to start scavenging all the tools soon so I can be sure I have them all for the job.

Bish I'm at work for another 10 hours and my phone isn't allowed in here! PM me.

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind if I can't get a hold of one through the auto parts store.

Not totally necessary. I read a whole bunch of threads on it, and you can get it out easily with a prybar if you know which position to put the CV axle in. What holds it into the differential is a snap ring, so if you can get the open end of the snap ring to face downwards, the axle will basically just fall out. You COULD get it out with force, but I want to try the gentle way first.

Oh that reminds me, it may be best if you get the removal tool from Bill, because I was going to ask you to borrow your big prybar. Then I could drive to you and get both tools.
