I'm gonna go home and unscrew mine and put antiseize on it. I'll tell you which way it goes

Why I'd this cap so important? What's under it? Cut the damn thing off, do what you gotta do under it, order new one, drink a beer. Wait 3-4 days for new cap. Am I missing something?

EDIT: its just a cover, but it covers the spindle for the swingout

More importantly, the bearings. That’s why it’s sealed

@HolyHandGrenade idea with the nut welded on top is my favorite. If not, air chisel, if not, grinder

i know I packed the bearings correctly, and the swingout has no resistance. I just wanted to take the cap off to put antiseize on, so later in the summer, I can get it sandblasted

I'd call Billy and see how he handles them in situations like this

Seen some pretty good ideas so far tho.

Sorry bro, that's a total PITA.

    Dude!

Ummmm, based on YOU, your Spindle Bearing Cap is NOT threaded and you tapped it in.

So maybe you just need to insert a chisel at the aluminum/steel interface and tap upwards?

    See below thread convo VVV

Probably why it’s stuck. You hammered in a threaded bearing cap :boink:

Probably an older hammer though. I imagine it didn't hit as hard, so there should be no worries.
