    The threaded caps might not work for you. I would check with Billy. He probably has the non-threaded bearing caps handy in his shop before he switched over to the threaded caps.

    Tap the two holes and put some short screws in there and you are set for next time.
    Or
    You might find a plug in plumbing at the HD with the same threads.

    How did you unscrew your bearing cap off? Which of the many suggestions worked?

    I know mine is threaded, because I screwed it on myself.

    The theory is that Billy switched his swingout bearing setup two or so years ago. Prior to that, the bearing cap was a press-in version. So you must have gotten the newer screw-in bearing cap at the start of his design transition.

    think you meant acetone and atf. but theres no where for it to soak to like spraying a nut/bolt. could try it though
