Im off. I have all the bolts off on one side. When putting them on, i used a floor jack to push over rivets going through the frame. Now they are giving me problems coming back over. Ive been standing on it and bouncing. Also have been using multiple pry bars

Jesus. I wonder if you could use the stock bottle jack and wedge it between the slider and something sturdy above? Then just crank till it pops. Dont be under when it does though

Wrap a chain around it tie the other end to a heavier truck and floor it. Or you can barrow my portapower, or my slide hammer.

Friction and seizing might also be in play here, between the frame and the plates of the skids. TONIGHT, I would spray the hell out of the mating surfaces with whatever lubricant you have. Then spray some more. Then try pulling it off tomorrow.

So how it is now, ive got a 1x1 square tube in between the frame and bottom L part of the slider, in the front. On the rear part, its down enough to get a pry bar in and still have room to pry. But not enough for another 1x1 square.

There isnt room to put the bottle jack on the pinch weld of the cab to be able to push down. I have stood and almost jumped on the the slider, and its still not moving enough. Im thinking tomorrow im going to get a longer piece of tubing to wedge in the front, so i can use my breaker bar to push from. Im also going to see if another friend can stop by and we can both stand on it, and get it over the rivets.

It has to go straight down, because in the back, by the gas tank, there is another lip that comes up.

Yah, no sorry. All of that is not worth it to remove sliders. Im just going to continue as I was.. wedging things between slider and frame, until it falls off.

For tomorrow’s attempt, It’s a good idea to try to get some tools that may work

Go to HD and buy a big ass crowbar and a cold chisel to use as a wedge that you can hammer in.

If you don’t use it, return it.

    Big ass crossbar pictured
