My rake is deceptive. I trimmed the front fenders and flares 2". I also have heavy dakars with an extra AAL for the weight of my bedrack, tent, and rear bumper

Some days I look at mine though and I swear I have bro lean because of that cap. I still think an AAL wouldn't hurt. It will be mandatory once I add a HC w/dual Swingouts.

David, received those wire grinding wheels yesterday (must have been in stock at the center here ???) And I must say they are serious! No aluminum body and the wire is stout. Glad I snagged two at that price. Thanks.

I've spent zero time looking at how to notch steel tubing but it seems like you could get a metal hole saw the exact diameter of your pipe and drill straight through it with that. It would leave a notched pipe....is that not how it works?

Yes thats how it works. But a notcher holds the pipe and the drill. Once the teeth bite it will be difficult to hold without it

You said this exact statement to me before when I’ve mentioned tube notching

Could you achieve this with a decent drill press that has a vise attached to the table of it?

I don’t see why not, that’d just be a rudimentary version of a tube notcher

I don't have a drill press but have wondered if I shouldn't have one. Seems a good one could come in handy for a lot of things.

I'm looking at it all very calmly. Randall was wrong about DT certificates the other day.
