I haven't ordered the aluminum yet. Im going to make my own tailgate panel. I cant justify spending 200+ on a snail armor or mountain hatch one.

GFC removed my Mobtown tailgate cap. I will need to modify it to get it to work. Planning on removing these 2 bolts from the tailgate, drilling the cap, and elongating the holes in the cap, and moving it down about 1/4".

The GFC rear door closes, but the tailgate doesn't have any protection on the edge. I've already filed down the gfc rear door and kbvoodoo bedside caps to close better.

Quick question, do you recall how tall your previous bed-rack was above the bed rails? Seemed to put your Freespirit at the right height.

I think it was 13". Top of the bed rack was at the bottom of the 3rd brake light. Im pretty sure @JLee still makes this rack too. Should be on his website

Question for aluminum fab friends following my build. Going to be working with aluminum soon (0.125" thickness). I wanted to try out aluminum brazing since it wont be a structural part. Do you think that i can get to ~750 degrees using those green camping propane torches, and get away with it? I want to avoid buying map gas for this small project

Ordered some aluminum yesterday, 2x pieces of 6061 1/8" sheet. Since Snailarmor didnt want to work with me, i saved some $ by ordering myself. It will be better because im making it

Tailgate panel is in progress, and im continuing planning my electrical layout for the bed
