Had to keep all of them.

New tires have no noise! Amazing! And my turning radius came back. I can park without rubbing! All is great!

    285s are so small though

I don't think so. Yes, they are going to look smaller, but not at any cost to the performance of your truck. If anything, you will have better performance. It makes it look like your truck is lifted more too.

been thinking about changing some things.. maybe removing bed decals, changing shift knob, and finally getting around to my wireless backup camera install.

Also, I have the tiniest stumble at idle. Might be time to do ignition coils? Im right at 122k miles.

@SUMOTNK thoughts on the RIPP coil packs on a NA engine?

@Doc Samson how was the water pump install? Did you go with OEM?

I forget where I saw it, but someone posted a graph that compared dwell time? or joule/megajoule? from stock coils to the RIPPs (1GRFE specific). The graphs showed the RIPPs to be "Big Energy" like Latto. I still like them on my boosted truck and can only assume that they will also yield positive benefits on an NA engine.

The install of the RIPPs should be a lot more simple on an NA motor versus a blower being in the way.

I growing to like them. Just a little sad going down a size. But now plenty of clearance. Maybe that's the key.. cut for 35s, but put smaller tires on. Then no rubbing.

Ya I get it but the turning radius and clearance is money. I would feel that way too but it's nowhere near as bad as the dudes who have monster lifts with tiny pizza cutters. Ooogly..

I really want to step up to 35s next time but that's a whole new can of worms. Re-CMC, fender gut, re-gear, yada yada.

Everything went back together with only a couple minor concerns! When I first started it back up, it gave a little chirp and rattle. I got a little triggered but it stopped after a second and, after a couple of test drives, remains quiet with no leaks. I'm happy... for now! :D

Forgot to answer the OEM question! No, went with Beck-Arnley as I've had no problems with their stuff in the past...

Oh ok good to know. I was making a price list last night. I havent priced out coolant yet, but I think im going to need 3 gallons for my new radiator too.

Did you replace the thermostat and housing too? (I might just buy the parts, and then sit on them for a while, like most of my other projects haha)

I needed about a gallon and a half of coolant and I did replace the thermostat and housing (went with Aisin on that!) What I did NOT do was replace all the hoses. They were all in decent shape and I put a little rubber restorative on them, but in hindsight, I should've just ordered new...

I've found that if I have parts sitting around, I get anxiety until I get them on (looks sideways at the pile of drum brake parts)...

So I think all my wheel weights fell off. Drive back from WV was interesting. I have some weird vibration when i slightly barely touch the gas pedal. I thought my ujoints were good, they're freshly greased.

Maybe also one of my CV axles has spewed all of its grease? But wouldn't that be a clicking noise?

maybe the missing weights are causing this weird vibe? When im completely off the gas and just coasting, the truck is smooth. Then I put my foot on the pedal, and i can feel a vibe, but its not shaking anything else.

Who runs airsoft bb's to balance? I thought i read somewhere that the good number was 12oz? I will check around.

Have you replaced the needle bearing yet? Does it do it in 4wd?

Yes, ECGS did that several years ago.

this basically started when I noticed all of my wheel weights fell off/got new tires and the place double stacked the weights.

I havent done anything to the truck lately. Except today when I swapped leafs to Deavers
