Same! It was a really nice rig. I didn’t get a great look at it because it was going north and I was going south. Couldn’t see what state it was from either

 

Super aware of any lights on the dash. This morning, the maintenance light showed its face.

Checked post #2, and Im at 4500+ miles on oil. Need a change asap

 

So should i scoop up a 97 Lexus LS400 for 3k? Needs a bunch of work though.. and has 190k on it

 

Thats just getting broke in.

Depends on condition though. Some 200k vehicles are mint condition and taken care of by the owner with all proper maintenance. Or it could be from people who barely even change the oil then complain when it starts falling apart within 100k miles.

 

I think it needs control arms, wheel bearings, brakes, tires, and has an oil leak..

Its old man tan/tan. Thing is, im kinda looking for a dd, and maybe a 1UZ-FE isnt it. Im on the fence with a fun manual dd, or a running project. But gotta be 1998 and older.

I was looking at JDM cars for a while as a DD. Tons of options with 2JZ motors that would surprise you. Ultimately, the price of them is what made me decide to buy a bike instead.

 

Thats been in my back pocket too.. And I think prices are coming down (NOVA prices.. )

I like that. I used to have an aluminum one that someone on the forum had sold way back. It had a decepticon milled into the top. Worked well, but if i parked in the sun in summer and didnt put my sun shade up, my hand was burning till the ac cooled it down. Hot aluminum shifter for a 6 speed in DC traffic wasnt good.
