I don't exactly remember. But Thats where im leaning. I purchased 2 new ujoints with cap zerks from Spicer. Let's hope that fixes the vibe.

But first a major wrenching day tomorrow. Hubs/wheel bearings, brakes, a uniball change, and a cv axle swap

Sounds like fun! Once weather cools down a bit i would be up for some wrenching meets. Too hot right now though. I have my kids first half of the week and alternating weekends, so if a meet falls on a weekend i dont have em, ill try to make it by. No better half at the moment, so i dont need to get any permissions either

Finally finished wheel bearings/hubs, pads and rotors, drivers side UCA uniball, and driver side CV swap. Bedded in the pads, and they feel great.

Maybe my vibration was the wheel bearings... Both sides had considerable rust. The passenger side almost didnt come out. I was beating on it for an hour. I almost was worried that it would separate.

Brakes were ordered from RockAuto - Dynamic Friction Geospec.
Put everything back together with excessive antiseize. Hopefully the next time will be easier.

Still need to go on a highway run to 60+ to see if the vibe is still there

I don't wish this weekend on anyone. 8 hours for driver side, 3 for passenger. Passenger side I only did brakes and bearing/hub. But still a major pain. My body hurts. Im getting old John!

Replacement cubby door. I had previously replaced it with a piece of ABs plastic. Now that its kinda wearing out, time to replace that with 1/8" 6061 Aluminum

Ohhhh nice! I dont remember if i ever replaced the cubby door or not. But i remember one cubby held my rear diff breather, and the other one i had put a receptacle for my engine block heater. Since it was manual i didnt bother adding remote start, and i had it set on a timer to turn on about an hour before i left in the morning on the super cold mornings (less than 20F or so).

I put the receptacle in the bed because i backed into my driveway, and the bed was closer to the garage door. I used some heavy gauge outdoor insulated wire that was then put into ourdoor rated sheathing and sealed at the ends with weather sealing. It worked very well, and on those cold mornings it was nice to crank the truck and it be already slightly warm.

I have a feeling that I messed this up somehow. All the videos Ive been watching point to something that I did wrong..
I tapped my double cardan carrier and my butt dyno says some vibes went away - but not all. Anyways, I have some new u-joints to go in, and will be taking care to do things right this time

pretty sure I did this exact thing last time. It was stiff and I remember it not being able to move freely, before putting it back into the truck

@boogie3478 do you still have your truck? Want to help me do a trans drain and fill? I don't have a flat spot at my house (except in the street)

    What fluid is recommended?

I do and it's back to black even. I just used the Toyota ATF WS fluid. What day were you thinking?

I have a trip planned on October 14 to flagpole (you're welcome to join).

do you recommend 4qts? Or 5? I want to get the drain bolt replacement like in your video too.

Kinda short notice, but are you available next weekend?

About 2.5 quarts came out of my trans when I pulled the drain plug so I would think 4 would be plenty. Definitely grab that drain bolt replacement. That damn H5 bolt is too sketchy. Yeah I should be available next weekend.
