And I don't have a 2nd gen to use for measurements. When I made Chris's he had bed supports too so i had to work around that

Essentially I made it to butt up to the bed support and only 1 bolt holds the mount. But since it's butted up it doesn't allow it to bounce or flex

You could make one out of aluminum and don't need to weld anything. Get a piece of 10 gauge aluminum 6" x 3". On the 3" side cut down the middle till it clears the tail lamp. Then with what is leftover bend that piece to 90 degrees.

CB is working again. Not sure what the issue was, but im guessing it was too many butt connectors and i had a loose connection somewhere.

Heading out to Durham NC tomorrow. Bedcage sold, dropping it off for TW express, and going to check out/buy a cap

Truck is naked again for a little bit

Really hoping this cap works out. Do you have clamps?

If you want, I have some you can borrow for a couple weeks that slide in the tracks and clamp down the cap. I'd hate for you to get all the way there and be scrambling to get it home.

If it doesn't come with any and there are no cap places nearby, I either won't buy it, or go check out another option in Charlotte. But the other options are more expensive and 2 hours further away

I have 3m 10 pound strength Velcro from Home Depot. That shit is no joke if you have a decent amount on there.

Ah I wonder if the surface of the center console doesn't go well with the adhesive? Might as well put two holes in then.
