    Drive-By Truckers released an album awhile back entitled Southern Rock Opera...its on 2 discs and and from Amazon

    theres a few tracks that are somewhat eh...but when listened to as a whole...its incredible

    its somewhat of a ficitionalization of the Lynyrd Skynyrd story...with several points of views thrown in there...including the lead singers own disappointment with a cancelled skynyrd show and the later plane crash that prevented him from ever seeing them...
